Note: This family resided in Flag Pond,TN, in 1850, 1860, and 1870. In 1850, the
household incuded Catherine Runnion, age 6. By 1870, Wilson was no longer
present, and the household included Anna Vance, age 65. (Is this Jane's mother?)
In 1900, the Julius Edmonds household in Marshall, NC, included Jane Rice, age 60.
(At each successive census in which Jane is listed, her age has advanced less than ten years. As
most of us tend to grow somewhat vague about details as we age, we should not make too much
of the fact that she is only 60 in 1900, even though she seems to have been born in 1832.)
